Welcome to the start of season 2013. It seems not that long ago we finished last year and then before you know it the next year has rolled around.
Around the ground our Club has been busy working with the Hepburn Shire to complete works after the flood events of 2 years ago. Works are about to begin on the netball half court (come cricket nets) and netball change rooms, with the new football lights due to start early April. We might have some interruptions to the start of the season but by mid season we should be all complete.
The club has taken the initiative in 2013 to commit to the maximum insurance cover for its players. Footballers now have the top level of cover that includes $1,000,000 for death or disability. The insurance doesn’t cover the gap in medical costs that are not covered by Medicare and doesn’t cover any loss of income. However it does cover physiotherapy and such costs.
I encourage all members to become familiar with the committee members and feel free to raise suggestions on how together we can improve our Club. We welcome all new members to our club and I encourage everyone to make them feel welcome.
